30/10/08 It's been too long since the last update, we've been on tour in France and Spain, played loadsa gigs including Rebellion Blackpool and got next year's Rebellion confirmed in Blackpool. We're writing new material at the moment, Mark and Rosie are expecting a baby in March next year, we've been too busy to update the site and we're sorry! For the latest updates and gig listing of the Short Bus Window Lickers check out our MySpace page!! We do regularly update that one as it's much less time consuming and more interactive. 29/03/08 We had a fuckin blast last night in Tufnell Park. It was our first London gig with Txema on bass and it was fuckin great! A quick news update; we got rebellion in Blackpool confirmed, but what time and which day we're playing will be decided later on. Also we in the process of setting up a September tour covering France and Spain, as soon as any gigs are confirmed we'll post in on the website and MySpace page. Also we're recording a few new songs in April, which will probably end up on a 7", more news about that when we're done it so watch this space!
30/12/08 2 nights and it's 2008, a new year and a new bass player! Txema from Cellbound. We got 3 gigs planned for January, maybe even 4. Check our MySpace page for the latest updates.
18/11/07 Fuck, it's been a while! After that Jobcentre squat gig, we've played Reknaw's Fuk Reddin fest, the Bristol Punx Picnic and we've been to Bretagne (France) to do a few gigs. Oh and of course we played the Underworld last weekend in Camden. At the moment we're planning on re-recording '6 For A Fiver' for a vinyl version on Brain Damage Records, as we lost the studio tracks from the CD version, so won't be able to master them. We'll be doing this with P-tex on bass. Also we're getting some new songs together for a new 7" or maybe full length, we haven't decided on that yet. We'll try and keep you updated so keep checking back! Oh and we're playing in January in Newport (TJ's) with Discharge. 23/07/07 Our next gig is this friday: "
14/07/07 Ooh Aah!!! We survived our Europe tour with Armed Response Unit and had a fuckin blast!! Although we had a flat tyre, the windscreen wipers broke and the battery of the van was dead most of the time so no music at all. Yesss, we got back yesterday evening. We had a great time and would like to thank everyone who helped us getting gigs, who fed us, who gave us places to crash and who gave us beer and all the bands we played with: Dim and Kiel and Disturbance for the last minute gig in The Hague and Janneke for the SatNav that made the tour a million times easier; Sjoerd the drunkpunk in Peer; the entire Trashfest crew and the lady who gave me the jar of extra strong vegan garlic sauce that was left from the food stall; Pierre and all the Fleas&Lice and the punx at the squatted cinema; The Amsterdam Embryo Punx from Gewapend Beton and the Baarmoeder crew; Bram and The Openbare Orde squat crew; Flint and of course Goran and Patrick from Onkel Otto in Hamburg; Walle from Gothenburg (again our apologies for having to cancel that gig!); Kendra and Nicole and of course Mundek and the Kopi squat in Berlin; Krikis and Kraszan and the Warsaw posse; Cuba and the Wroclaw collective (as usual one of the best meals on tour!); Frank and the Praha Punx (Labora21, Demarche and PNS) and the geeza that gave me that superstrong superglue; Benji and the Esperanza crew (fucking great food and hospitality); Stef, Nico and the Nancy crew; Ivan, Einrich and the Bitchslappers in Paris; Candy and the Reve d'Herbert crew in Lille!!!! And of course last but definately not least, it's the man who can: Risky Rich! Without him this entire tour wouldn't have been possible!! CHEERS!!!!! We had shitloads of new merchandise, but had to send it back cos the prints weren't dryed the right way and came off in the wash. If you bought a shirt, girlie shirt or hoodie from us on tour and the print came off, get in touch and we'll sort something out. The patches were all ok though, so they're available from our merchpage. 16/06/07 Tonight we're doing our warm-up gig for our Euro tour in Hackney, at the Sebright Arms (34 Coate St, off Hackney Road) and here's the tourflyer with all the latest updates:
For all the full addresses and other details about the gigs we're doing on tour please check our MySpace page. See you on the road!!! 21/02/07

P-tex has left the band as he's got other big things in life to dedicate himself to, all the best! After trying out several close but too busy friends we found Kats (ex-Ramraid The Offie) to play bass for us. We're planning on releasing a 7" with 4 new tracks on it before our Europe tour which will be from June 22nd till July 9th. Cheers for your patience, we haven't been playing much, but WE'RE BACK!!! 23/11/06

16/01/06 The Dublin Castle gig went fuckin well and cheers for everyone who came down to see us, it's definately the best gig we've done this year! We're still busy recording/mixing our album which will be called '6 for a fiver' and which will be out in March in time for our '6 for a fiver tour'.
02/01/06 Happy New Year to all you scumbags out there! We ended up not playing at the Okupational Hazard gig which I personally apologize for. Our next gig will be with the UK Subs on sunday the 15th of January at the Dublin Castle in Camden. Hope to see you all there! Ooh aah stick it up yer jumper!!! 27/11/05 Unfortunately we've had to pull out of the Notts gig on December 3rd, but we promise we'll be playing there in the near future. We're in the middle of recording our new album. Also our planned tour in March 2006 is slowly taking shape. We'll be playing in Holland, Germany, Czech and France. As soon as dates are confirmed I will add them to the gigpage. 13/11/05 Now then, it's been a while since the last update. We've been busy rehearsing and getting ready to record a new album and have it all done by the end of the year. We're still planning our Europe trip at te end of February/ beginning of March 2006. Our only confirmed gigs this year will be Iggy's birthday bash in Nottingham on December 3rd with the Varukers and Bournemouth on December 10th with Disorder. 18/10/05 Ay, Ay, calm down, calm down. We had a fuckin brilliant weekend, gigging in Liverpool, middle of nowhere (Dunsford Bridge hippy-squatted-site) in the Peak District in Yorkshire and here in London, Upstairs at the Garage. Shoulder taps and belly slaps go out to: Risky Rich (the son of a bitch) for driving us, Rosie for being our merch slave for the weekend, Bev for doing the sound at the hippy-birthday-bash in Yorkshire, Eve, Cressy (dunno if that's how you write it), Rose and the Liverpool crew for setting up the gig there and giving us booze and a place to crash, Jet 13 for setting up the Garage gig, all the bands we've played with and all the people who came out to see us! Now then, this saturday we'll be playing the Okupational Hazard gig in Sarf-London with loadsa other good bands (see gigpage for more details). Meanwhile we're doing another weekend mini-tour at the beginning of December (9th Bristol, 10th Bournemouth, 11th Brighton) which we'll put on the gigpage as soon as it's confirmed. Also we're setting up a tour in Europe (Holland, Germany and who knows? maybe Poland, Belgium) at the end og February, beginning of March 2006, which we'll also put on the gigpage as soon as it's confirmed. 20/09/05 We got another gig confirmed on saturday 8 October, with P.A.I.N. and 2 more local bands at the squatted pub in Haggerston. Meanwhile there's another date for our mini-tour which is a Reknaw gig in Yorkshire on Oct 15. The merchpage is also back up and running. 02/09/05 It's been a while since the last update. We've done the anniversary gig which was a fuckin blast! Some of us are going on holiday so we won't be gigging untill mid October (see the gigpage), when we're planning on doing this 4 day mini-tour in Nottingham, Liverpool, Birmingham and last but not least, London (which will be the Night Of The Living Jet Vol.5, see the flyer below). We're still in the stages of setting these gigs up, but as soon as they're confirmed I will post them on the gigpage. Also we're planning on writing and recording from mid September onwards and to bring out an LP on Brain Damage/Mass Productions and maybe a CD. Because I'll be on holiday from Sunday 3 September untill Sunday 18 September, merch-orders placed in that period won't be sent out untill Monday 19 September.
08/08/05 Fuckin hell, we're all slowly recovering from a mad weekend in Bournemouth. We arrived a bit late on fridaynight and only saw Bad Blood play who were great! We played our set and stopped a bit early so our comrades from CellBound, who got there even later, could still do a couple of songs. After the gig we went to a party in someones house and the next day to the picnic in Bournemouth Gardens which moved to the beach when it got dark. After that we went to someones flat for another party. Cheers to Stephany and Alex for setting this up for us!! We'll definately do it again, anytime! This weekend we're playing 2 gigs, friday Aug 12th at Shen's new place which will be Pipi's (Flatpig) birthday bash, with Flatpig (Brighton), Kort Door De Bocht (Utrecht, Holland), Short Bus Window Lickers (never heard of 'em), Inner Terrestrials (TBC), Los Gtodomoaos (Polish-Brazilian punk) and on saturday Aug 13th at Ryans Bar which will be our 1-year-anniversary-with-current-line-up with BottleJob (Hackney's finest Oi!) and Armed Response Unit (members of TBAC). 26/07/05 Ok, nearly all of us are back in town and our next gig will be next week at the Bournemouth Punx Picnic in...well of course in Bournemouth. The weekend after that we'll be playing at Pipi's birthday bash at the Poison Club and on the 13th we'll have our 1-year-anniversary-with-current-line-up gig at Ryans with our good mates BottleJob and Slaughterhouse 57 (TBC). For more details check the gigpage. 22/06/05 Well the Dome gig was a bit of a disaster, very badly organised, sound was shit, but at least we got some free beer out of it. Some of us are going away on holiday, so we haven't got any gigs planned untill August 5th, which is the Bournemouth punx picnic. That one is still to be confirmed though. We are also having talks with Brain Damage/ Mass Productions about releasing a vinyl with St.Vicky and maybe also some new stuff on it. 09/06/05 Because on an injurie, we had to cancel both gigs this weekend (RampArt benefit and Reclaim the future event). We should be able to play on June 18th though (Fathers For Justice benefit). 03/06/05 Newsflash: Unfortunately we had to pull out of the gig at Ryan's Bar this satrurday. The gig's still on but cos of unforeseen circumstances we can't do it. Coma will probably be playing instead. We will be playing the gig at the Grosvenor (part of the Scumfest) and the benefit gig at RampArt (see gigpage). The merchpage is now up and running, we got CD-r's and badges, we've run out of T-shirts but we'll get a new batch in very shortly. Please note that we can only accept orders with a total of £5 minimum, cos of the huge fees PayPal will charge us on smaller amounts. See you all on sunday! 31/05/05 Fuckin hell what a weekend! The North London Punx Picnic was fuckin excellent!! I'm still not recovered, ended up having a session in my living room after the sunday gig. Cheers to Danielle, Diana and Songe for setting it up and of course Reknaw for the excellent sound! We got 3 gigs lined up in the the next week, check out the gigpage for details. We've run out of all our T-shirts but will be getting new ones printed shortly. 26/05/05 Just a quick update: we got another gig confirmed for saturday June 4 at Ryans Bar in Stokey with Hotwired and the Bleach Boys! See the gigpage for details. 21/05/05 The gig with the UK Subs was a blast! Sorry for the people who couldn't get in, the gig was sold out. We're getting ready for the North London Punx Picnic and the following ScumFest. We'll be playing on friday 26 May at Squat Or Rot! and sunday 5 June at the Grosvenor in Brixton as part of the ScumFest. 06/05/05 The gig in Liverpool was excellent, we really enjoyed ourselves. The coachtrip to Liverpool was a bit chaotic with Szmalec missing the coach and having to book a later one but everything worked out fine in the end. Cheers for the hospitaly and we'll hopefully be back soon! 27/04/05 We're getting ready for our trip to scouseland and are well excited! We got another gig confirmed on May 15 with the UK Subs and Dirlty Love at the Dublin Castle (see flyer below), I know it's a bit pricey though. We also set up a MySpace page for the windowlickers: www.myspace.com/shortbuswindowlickers.
21/04/05 The gig in Deptford has been cancelled due to an eviction notice. We got another gig in June confirmed at the Grosvenor in Brixton as part of the Scumfest with Raw Power, In The Shit, Give Up All Hope and more, check the gigpage for details. 15/04/05 Another quick update: we got a gig confirmed on April 23rd (saturday) in Deptford, south London. Check the gigpage for details. The North London Punx Picnic 2005 flyer is out, we're playing on the first day (friday May 27th). The picnic website address is www.punkspicnic.tk. 05/04/05 The gig with Disorder and Rabies Babies was great, cheers to the Kings Arms, very friendly people! The turnout was good too. Our next confirmed gig will be in Liverpool, on the 29th of this month, see the gigpage. We got some T-shirts and we'll be bringin them with us to Liverpool, they're black with the lickers logo on the front and 'St. Vicky' on the back. We'll have badges and CD's too! 25/03/05 I got some very sad news; Wayne who sings for Doom sadly passed away last friday (18th). Apparently it had something to do with his epilepsy, but details are not known. Our condolences go out to his family, friends and bandmembers. The Bristol gig we were supposed to play with them has been cancelled. 05/03/05 The gig at the Purple Turtle was fun, wasn't very happy with the bar manager not allowing me to drink my own beer inside, anyway, we got another gig confirmed on March 20th with Radio Bikini from Holland. Check out the gigpage for details! 25/02/05 Ok it's been a while. A quick update: we just got this last minute gig at the Purple Turtle in Camden this wednesday (March 2nd) with the Duel, The Phobics +more. Then the gig that was planned for March 5th at the Kings Arms has been moved to March 26th. Check out the gigpage for more details! 13/02/05 Another update! The gig at the 491 gallery in Leytonstone was cool, but we weren't very happy with the beer price which was way too expensive for a 'non-profit' squat. We got some more gigs coming up so check out the gigpage. We will be playing Bristol soon with Dirty Love but the date hasn't been set yet. We've also got a gig confirmed in Liverpool at the end of April with Rabies Babies and are trying to make a little weekend tour out of it and get a gig in Birmingham and maybe Derby. And don't forget about the gig we're playing with the Varukers and Dirty Love in Stratford this friday! Also I've set up a new guestbook that will hopefully stay spamfree. I copied a couple of the most recent entries into it but all the older ones are lost unfortunately, so go ahead and slag us off again, we like that!
09/02/05 Another excellent weekend!! Starting off on friday the 4th at the squatted copshop for the Stig memorial weekend with punkrockers from all over the place!! Cheers to everyone for coming down and thereby contributing to the fundraising for Stig's family! We got some gigs coming up this weekend (Valentine's Day Massacre) and next weekend (with the Varukers) and have been asked to play the Hackney punx picnic which will be the last weekend of May 2005 so keep checkin the gigpage for details. This thursday (Feb 10) 53rd & 3rd, the worldfamous Ramones tribute band, are playing at Ryan's Bar in Stokey (see flyer below) with P-tex Ramone on bass!! Then there have been rumours of the Short Bus Window Lickers playing in Bristol and Liverpool in the next couple of months, but I dunno anything about that. As soon as I find out I will post it on this site, so check this space!!
31/01/05 Really fuckin enjoyed that weekend! Brighton was fuckin nice and so was New Cross! We'd like to thank Risky Richard for driving us all the way to Brighton and back, and of course Flatpig and Austin and Pipi for setting up the gig and letting us stay in their house and annoy the neighbours, CHEERS!! I've added a photoalbum on the gallerypage with pictures from the weekend. We didn't take any of the actual gig in Brighton but know someone who did so I might add some more later. We got some new gigs confirmed as well and added them to the gigpage, there will be more details added later. We're playing with the Varukers in Stratford, on friday Feb 18th. 28/01/05 Now then, time for another update. Tomorrow we'll be playing with Flatpig and Rabies Babies in Brighton (see gigpage for details), apparently it's a free gig and on sunday we'll be playing in New Cross and we'll play first (7.30pm) at that gig so be there early. It's £2,50 to get in and it's one of the 4 'red cross New Cross' gigs held that night for the Tsunami Appeal. For £5 you'll get in at all 4 gigs. That's 4 for a fiver instead of 6 for a fiver, but hey, it's a benefit for fuck sake! I'm still waiting for details about the gig with the Varukers in Stratford, but will post it as soon as I know more. We're also playing at a TBA Hackney squat on friday the 4th with Broken Bones, Drongos For Europe and many more as part of the Stig Memorial Weekend. We also got a new song ready to play called 'Vomit up your paranoia', but we might change the name into 'yer dad' or maybe 'paranoid maniac' or something.
11/01/05 Happy new ear and merry crustmas and all that, I haven't got a lot of time, bit busy, but here's some news: WE GOT GIGS coming up (Brighton and New Cross), so check out the gigpage. One in february with Varukers in Stratford isn't on there yet cos I haven't got all the details yet. THE ARTWORK for the album is getting there, I haven't seen it yet but Mark has and he says it's fuckin brilliant! I will keep you updated and will probably post some more news soon! 06/12/04 That was a fucking nice weekend! The 2 squatgigs we played on saturday...well...sundaymorning really, went excellent and we had a great time! Cheers to Risky and the Reknaw crew and everyone who helped out in New Cross for the excellent soundsystem and quality stage sound. Cheers to everyone who helped out at the Poison in Hackney!! Robin Licker will be away in December and Szmalec Licker will be away around January so we had to do some gigs before then. Check out the gigpage. More details to be added soon!! 08/11/04 It's been a while since the last update. The Halloween gig at the Trolleystop was fuckin nice! Lots of people dressed up and after that we all went to the Poison Depot for a long night of drinking. Totally £100 was donated for Stig and has been given to his relatives. Cheers again to Breda, Myles and Leigh for setting up the gig and to Lynden for driving the gear around. We haven't got any upcoming gigs confirmed. We wanna try and get some new songs together and do some more rehearsing. Though we'll probably end up doing a Poison Depot gig before the end of the month, but we'll let you know about that as soon as that's confirmed. 23/10/04 It was a strange night last night. The gig went fuckin great, and the sound from Reknaws sound system was superb, though I still don't realize what happened after the gig. There's is no nice way of telling bad news, and I'm not good at it, but this is what happened. Stig from Icons Of Filth was feeling unwell and was sick outside later. An ambulance was called and brought him to Homerton Hospital where he was pronounced Dead. The cause is not certain. Stig will be remembered! REST IN PUNK 16/10/04 Another fuckin update! I just added a new photo album on the gallery page with snaps from it. Still not recovered after partying for 2 nights in a row when someone got the crazy idea of letting Disorder play in the middle of Walthamstow Marshes the night after, which actually turned out to be really good fun. I need more sleep. 08/08/04 And here's the flyer for the gig we're playing on August 21 at The Verge in Camden. Click on it to see it enlarged.

Meanwhile check out the Poison Club Page! 19/06/04 Good news!! We've finally found the drummer we've been looking for all that time! Marek is his name and he's up for being a full time Window Licker after a good rattle at Audio Underground last thursday. We'll be playing the gig tonight with Jay on drumms at the Poison Club. Apparently there are 7 bands on, of which we'll probably play second or third. See ya there! |
